The Meghdoot Series is a variation on the traditional Staunton pattern, and the change is right at the bottom of the piece. Every base is chamfered, which lifts the outline and makes the chessmen look as though they are floating on the squares.
At 86mm the king is a tall one, and the army carries less weight than that height would lead you to expect.
