Dragon Staunton 113mm Chess Pieces

The Dragon is a large triple weighted Staunton, 113mm to the top of the king, made for boards cut between 60mm and 65mm. It is a heavy army and it is meant to be.

This is a set for a board that stays out. Each piece has been given a profile of its own, so the army repays being looked at as much as it repays being played with.

Two dark timbers are offered, ebony or bud rosewood, and pale boxwood is the light half in either case.

All 34 pieces together come to 2,250 grams. Triple weighting puts that mass into the bases, so the army stays exactly where the last move left it.
