Prestige Staunton 118mm Chess Pieces

The Prestige is a big club sized Staunton army offered in three timbers, and the knight is the piece that makes the case for it.

The mane is full and the snout has an expression on it, and that is where the carving hours on this pattern have gone. The rest of the army is handsome and conventional; the horse is the one doing the talking.

The pieces are triple weighted and the scale is generous, so the army carries real presence on a board without ever losing its proportions.

One of the three options pairs bud rosewood against ebony with no boxwood in it at all, so the light army is a warm brown rather than pale. The other two set a dark timber against boxwood in the usual way.
